1301SW to open new location

Melbourne-based gallery 1301SW opens the doors of its second location marking a new chapter for the gallery.

Located in the inner-city Sydney suburb of Alexandria, the new gallery for 1301SW is an impressive 420 square metres over multiple exhibition areas. Allowing for dynamic interplay of exhibitions between Melbourne and Sydney, the gallery programming will extend across both Melbourne and Sydney spaces presenting an eclectic powerhouse of established and emerging artists, including Billy Apple, Tim Bučković, Lewis Fidock and Joshua Petherick, Diena Georgetti, SimrynGill, Ann Veronica Janssens, Jonny Niesche, Fiona Pardington, Jelena Telecki, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Gordon Walters, Pae White and Michael Zavros.

The opening exhibition sees the second installment of the innovative two-part project, Lime and limpid green, a second scene, which began with Part One debuting in Melbourne in August.

Lime and limpid green, a second scene, Part 2 is showing at 1301SW Sydney from 18 October to 16 November 2024.
