Martin Browne Contemporary presents Arcadia, an exhibition of new paintings by Adrienne Gaha.
Gaha’s painting process reveals itself in these works in a way that seems quite performative: at once controlled and risking everything. She combines glazes and solvents with passages of impasto, working with rags as well as brushes, so that images emerge and yet remain ungraspable. The paintings function as portals into a timeless, beguiling otherworld of liquid light and colour.
The gallery is open and practicing COVID-19 social distancing measures.
The exhibition can also be viewed online. View exhibition here.
