Alex Seton’s new exhibition Permanent Good Stream, Some Rocks draws its title from a line in a 1976 newspaper advertisement for a small rural property in Wombeyan Caves that was to become his family’s home. Using memories of unreliable family lore as a starting point, Seton displays a combination of video, photography and carved marble sculptures to poetically and humorously reflect upon the fragility of memory as well as the dangers and distortions of reconstructing it.
Opening event 24 March 6-8pm
