Ana Young, Midnight Over Sirius. Acrylic on canvas, 43 x 58cm. Courtesy: the artist and Harvey Galleries, Sydney.
Harvey Galleries Mosman has a new collection of artworks inspired by the shapes and shadows of local landscape by abstract artist, Ana Young. For more than three decades Ana has memorised the subtle shifting of soft light in the early morning and late afternoon and the changes with fog and rain on local landscapes. In the absence of figuration, Ana allows us to share her landscape world of shifting spaces and shadows between sky and water, land formations, pathways, rocks and plants.
Exhibition opens: 2–5pm, Saturday 27 April 2019
