Fox Galleries presents stay at home artists Barry Tate and Matthew Clarke’s ultimate guide, The Winter of Disconnect, The Great Indoors, an exhibition and publication chronicling their individual domiciliary studios in Warrnambool, Victoria, during Covid-19.
Tate presents a series of paintings and ceramic vanitas. Humorously exploring the follies of pleasure with extravagant detail and distorted domestic scale, they teeter on functionality but inevitably delight with grand aesthetics.
Clarke presents vibrant colours and abstracted geometric patterns, in his new paintings and sculpture inspired by his direct descendant Captain Thomas Henry Clarke; a larger than life figure.
The gallery is adhering to COVID-19 social distancing measures.
