Banksia Lady celebrates the internationally acclaimed botanical illustrator Celia Rosser, and her outstanding contribution to the study of the Banksia. Drawing on loans from both the Monash University Museum of Art and the artist herself, visitors will be entranced by the large scale works which Rosser produced over a twenty-five-year period.
Complementing these works are cuttings and samples of the Banksia plants on loan from the National Herbarium of Victoria at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. These intimate specimens allow the visitors to view each plant and compare the real life to the exquisite watercolours before them.
The gallery is open and practicing social distancing measures.
