For the 6th iteration of the Sophie Gannon Gallery annual DESIGNWORK show, the gallery will feature new design pieces by Adelaide-based designers, Daniel To and Emma Aiston. Established in 2008, DANIEL EMMA is a design studio situated in Adelaide, South Australia, specialising in the generation of ideas through industrial design. In this multifaceted exhibition, a variety of objects will be displayed alongside larger-scale installation, as DANIEL EMMA encourage the audience to “create the unexpected from simple objects using simple forms” – Here, DANIEL EMMA draw influence and insight from cultural diversity, particularly in the context of Australia, and the discursive albeit effortless nature of material forms.
