David Ralph reflects on how built environments, cities, personal dwellings and their interiors can shape human experience and forge identities. His new body of work examines the closed shopfront as a metaphor for shifting identity in an increasingly virtual marketplace. Once central to urban life, these façades now serve as informal canvases layered with graffiti, posters, and residue of past use. Part public artwork, part social commentary, the paintings reflect a transitional moment – where commerce, memory, and creative expression intersect in the face of cultural and economic change.
Opening afternoon 20 September 3 – 5pm
