Quandamooka woman, Elisa Jane Carmichael, presents her latest solo exhibition, ‘Present Surroundings’ between March and April 2021. This body of work explores the nurturing country, climate change, impacts of mining and recontextualising anthropological documentation. Carmichael honours these themes through an exploration of a range of new mediums, including cyanotypes and photograms. The exhibition also includes a series of woven forms that highlight and share her practice as a multidisciplinary artist from Quandamooka Country.
Opening Night: Thursday 25 April, 4 to 8pm (hourly sessions).
