Elisabeth Cummings, The other side of the creek bed N’Dhala Gorge, 2019. Gouache on paper, 27 x 37cm. Courtesy: the artist and King Street Gallery, Sydney.
King Street Gallery presents Elisabeth Cummings’ new exhibition, Eastern Arrernte country & Morocco. Responding unswervingly to the natural forces of the landscape, this collection of gouaches and photographs were produced in her visits to the Ross River bush camp, deep within Eastern Arrernte country in Central Australia, and Morocco in north Africa. In her paintings, Cummings emulates the randomness of raw nature and the spatial complexity of her surroundings in order to create works that convey much more than a description of place.
The gallery is open and adhering to social distancing measures.
The exhibition can also be viewed online. View exhibition here.
