With a career spanning over four decades, Elisabeth Kruger is a master of oil painting. She builds rich artworks with layers of thin paint to create deep visuals with subtle textures.
Her personal passion for gardens has been a reoccurring theme throughout her career, as a symbol of change and renewal. She uses close-up compositions to immerse the audience in every detail of the floral image.
Kruger is a graduate of the ANU School of Art and Design and practices in Canberra. She has had many residencies and exhibitions in Australia and internationally. Her work appears extensively in major public and corporate collections.
Exhibition opens: 6–8pm Thursday 7 November 2019
