In a world of hard edges, how do we observe softness?
On the inverse, how do we find stable footing on soft surfaces? A soft space to stand explores these questions through installation, moving image, film, and animation. Against the backdrop of personal, environmental, and existential pressure, softness becomes both strategy and survival. A soft space to stand includes works by Jamie Bastoli, Jasmine Craciun, Alysha Fewster, Fiona Lee, David Lobb, Ali Noble, and Nicole Smede. The exhibition invites audiences to tread gently and reflect on how we live, connect and build.
