Neon Parc presents apparel, an exhibition curated by Matthew Linde, featuring the work of fashion designers H.B. Peace, Jessie Kiely, and Tallulah Storm. These designers are all graduates from RMIT University over the past seven years.

Their works are seen alongside the archival work of famed Belgian designer Maison Martin Margiela, specifically his deconstructivist and artisanal garments from 1988 to 2008. During this period Margiela became known for a highly idiosyncratic design methodology obsessing over the strange behaviour of clothing’s own construction. Peace, Kiely, and Storm have extended this trajectory towards neurotic exhaustion, pursuing fashion’s elegant ‘other’ – the anxiety of archetypal apparel and the malfunctioning of its machinic production.

Exhibition opens: 6–8pm Saturday 14 March 2020
