Indelible: The Poetry of Decay presents selected pieces by Australian artists who explore forms of decay through visually poetic expressions. Encompassing cultural, physical, psychological and metaphorical forms of decay, the works speak of tragedies, the hauntingly beautiful, and the perpetual nature of life and death. Finding endurance and beauty that can live in the darkest moments, the works on display are poised with strength, resilience, compassion and emotion, that in time become and are expressed as poetry.
Includes works by Kirsten Coelho, Michael Cook (Bidjara), Dan Elborne, Sarah Rayner, Dylan Sarra (Taribelang/Gooreng Gooreng), and Henri van Noordenburg.
A Tweed Regional Gallery initiative.
