Presence of Mind is a residency and exhibition project that examines the intersection of mindfulness, Buddhism and the creative process of visual artists in Australia and Singapore. In bringing together diasporic artists from Australia and Singapore, Presence of Mind examines intersections of Buddhist lived experience and cultural differences. In its totality, the residency and exhibition project highlights the rich perspectives that spirituality can bring to art.
This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body, the NSW Government through Create NSW and its annual organisation grant, and partnership support from 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art.
