Side Effect is an exhibition of contemporary ceramic objects that simultaneously embrace and transcend their inherent materiality. The artists in this exhibition challenge the limits of this expansive material – forcing ceramics out of its artisanal cast and propelling their work into a realm of storytelling, illusion and abstraction. Side Effect highlights the diverse potential of ceramics within contemporary practice.
Side Effect includes a line-up of artists including: Grace Chaplin, Delvene Cockatoo-Collins, Dan Elborne, Colin Hopkins, Amy Kennedy, Megan Puls, Mel Robson, Ellarose Savage, Joanne Searle, Liz Sofield and Jimmy K Thaiday.
Exhibition opens: 5–7pm Saturday 9 November 2019
