Surface Level presents works spanning the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery Collection at the Albert Kersten Mining and Minerals Museum; GeoCentre.
Works of art on display reference the foundational themes that have occupied Far West NSW artists for many years: the colour and light of the landscape, deep connection to Country, and the socio-economic implications of Broken Hill’s mining history.
Presenting the work of Edith Kennedy, Hugh Schulz, Julie Hart, Bushy White, David Rankin, The Silver City Quilters and many more, the exhibition brings together a diverse range of works to draw out connections across time and beyond surface level.
