The Lockdown is a group exhibition of artists and artworks exhibited digitally during the lockdown. Now able to be exhibited ‘in the flesh’, these works are a celebration not just of themselves and their artistic singularity, but as markers of how far we have come in a year. From home and online to being back in the world – art is an important historical marker of human experience, as well as the times of its creation and display. We’re delighted to be able to exhibit these locked down artworks in the gallery, to be experienced in person.
The Lockdown includes work by John Baird, Elizabeth Barnett, Patrick Dagg, Betra Fraval, Margaret McIntosh, Jeff Makin, Toby Raine (featured), Jack Rowland, Paul Ryan, Lisa Tomasetti, Michael Vale and Sally Walk.
