Artspace is announces the upcoming exhibition the pleasurable, the illegible, the multiple, the mundane, opening Thursday 29 April, 6pm.
Bringing together the work of 12 Australian and international artists this will be the final exhibition at Artspace before a structural transformation of The Gunnery begins later this year. In this moment of global introspection and deceleration, the pleasurable, the illegible, the multiple, the mundane explores the fabric of our relationships, from the interpersonal to the interplanetary. Past and future selves meet and diverge. Knowledge and faith come in and out of focus.
Drawing on both personal belief systems and broader social frameworks, the exhibition features work by artists: Boris Achour (France), Jack Ball (Perth), Louise Bourgeois (France/USA), Ellen Cantor (USA), Carla Cescon (Sydney), Laurent Grasso (France), Louise Haselton (Adelaide), Dylan Mira (USA), Wura-Natasha Ogunji (Nigeria), Rachel Rose (USA), Fannie Sosa (Europe/South America) and Jelena Telecki (Sydney). Curated by Talia Linz.
