Group exhibition: Void

July 24 - October 17

James Tylor, (Deleted Scenes) From an Untouched Landscape #7 Knocklofty Reserve, West Hobart, Palawa Land 2013. Inkjet print on Hahnemühle paper with hole removed to a black velvet void, 63 x 63cm (framed). Courtesy: the artist, UTS Art Collection and Artspace Mackay.

Bringing together rich and diverse artworks from many of this country’s most exciting Indigenous artists, Void articulates the unknown as space, time and landscape.

“The void is a complex space of exclusion and inclusion, definition and deliberate ambiguity. But as these artists demonstrate, the void is always lived upon, navigated and known even as it remains unseen, unknown and undefined”
– curator Emily McDaniel

Official opening, 6pm Friday 30 July, Artspace Mackay.
To be officially opened by Cr Greg Williamson, Mayor of Mackay Regional Council.
*Due to COVID-19 restrictions numbers are limited, reserve your free tickets here.
