For Heidi Melamed‘s second solo show with Gallery Sally Dan-Cuthbert, Remnants, the artist has used offcuts of tracery boards, sourced from Perspex suppliers and fabricators, and other materials destined for the trash alongside paint, glitter, Perspex, neon and other found objects. By transforming ‘low art’ materials into paintings, structures and assemblages/sculptures, Melamed aims to push at the boundaries of materiality, utilising novel creative methods to reimagine a second life for these discarded by-products of industry.
Opening: 6-8pm Thursday 14 April
