Hoda Afshar explores the nature and possibilities of documentary image-making through photography and moving-image, considering the representation of gender, marginality and displacement. In her work, Afshar employs processes that disrupt traditional image-making practices, play with the presentation of imagery, or merge aspects of conceptual, staged and documentary photography.
This is Afshar’s first time showing at GAGPROJECTS. Also showing are works by Santiago Sierra and Darren Siwes.
The gallery is adhering to COVID-19 social distancing measures.
