As a senior lawman, Paddy Bedford painted as part of mens’ ceremony throughout his life. He began painting on canvas in 1998 and in his remarkable, yet short time as an artist, he attracted critical acclaim in Australia and overseas.
This major exhibition comprises works which were put aside during the artist’s lifetime and never intended to be sold until after his passing, and in the words of D’Lan Davidson, ‘represent a superb cross-section of the most significant, and indeed confronting works the artist created.’
