New work by Jacky Cheng presents a contemplative meditation into kinship, memory and transformation. Informed by a lineage-based system that acknowledges age, hierarchy and respect, the exhibition explores how relationships shape identity. Like paper holding the memory of a fold, each work carries emotional resonance through gestures of shaping, creasing, pinching, weaving and stitching – subtle acts that evoke tenderness, resilience and quiet strength. Material and memory converge in this study of becoming, revealing the intimate architecture of connection through form and process.
Opening Saturday 20 September, 2-4pm
