Nanda\Hobbs presents works by James Rogers titled, Hard One Ground. The powerfully evocative works morph between steely materiality and the natural world that they have been inspired by. The exhibition will run from 22 April to 8 May.
This is Roger’s first solo exhibition since his 2020 survey show, Tunnelvision, at ANU’s Drill Hall Gallery in Canberra—described by art critic, John McDonald as “a revelation”.
One of the most respected Australian sculptors working today, Rogers is an eighteen-time finalist in Sculpture by the Sea. He has been selected in the Wynne Prize at the Art Gallery of NSW four times and has had countless public commissions.
