Joanna Lamb, Crested Pigeon, 2021. Acrylic on superfine polyester, 92 x 122cm. Courtesy: the artist and Sullivan+Strumpf, Sydney.
Joanna Lamb approaches the representation of place as a process of distillation. Within her paintings, components of a view are streamlined and rearranged, colour minimised and distorted. Influenced by hard-edged abstraction and pop art, One long moment, presents new body of work that reflects back to us the composite forms of our contemporary built world.
