Seemingly banal objects are interpreted in a dramatic and different context, encouraging viewers to observe the absurdity in these familiar objects and reflect upon their own pursuit of meaning.
With heightened realism, Burrowes manipulates found objects through staging and lighting and employs photography for dramatic effect. A shower cap, once ordinary, now appears more confronting and austere.
Exhibition opens: 4–6pm Saturday 12 October 2019
