Alcaston Gallery presents new paintings and limited edition prints by Karen Mills.
“The colour and surface of dilapidated corrugated iron walls are the source of inspiration for this latest series of paintings,” says the artist. “Thoughts about the derelict buildings, landscape and social history stayed with me and the pastel colours became a visual reference for painting about interiors and forsaken places.” The exhibition will be officially launched by Justine Van Mourik, Director, Parliament House Art Collection, Canberra.
Exhibition opens 5:30–7:30pm Wednesday 16 October 2019
