Keith Stevens, Piltati, 2019. Synthetic polymer paint on canvas, 115 x 200cm. Courtesy: the artist and Vivien Andreson Gallery, Victoria.
Piltati is a beautiful place, an oasis, a rockhole that never runs dry, a lifesaving destination. Keith Stevens’ ancestral homelands provide the platform for human and other dramas as rich and monumental in scale as any conceived by Shakespeare, Molière or for that matter, the creators of great Indian epics like The Ramayana.
Exhibition opens: 6–8pm Wednesday 12 February 2020
