Of FREEfall, Lionel Bawden says: “In my new paintings, my series of falling figures allow a sense of this contemporary moment to coalesce with myriad falls. Alice falling down the rabbit hole, falls from grace, falls from favour, the small falls from our elders, sideways onto the earth and my predilection from that great fall when one meets love’s fresh eyes.”
