
Mossenson Galleries presents Matthew Clarke’s solo exhibition Looking Through My Window. This is his sixth solo exhibition at the gallery.
According to Clarke, “It is an exhibition which aims to explain some of my world as I see it to the viewer. The lead piece for the exhibition is called The Great South Coast Wind Power. It is about how I feel about landscape and human interaction with the environment.”
An Industrious and flourishing visual narrator, Matthew Clarke is enamoured with the vibrant world that surrounds him. He is a painter, drawer, sculpture and printmaker. Clarke paints his subjects with an unquestionable spontaneity and conviction. No facet of life is too mundane or too fleeting to avoid drawing Clarke’s engrossing contemplation and intuitive ingenuity. In the manner of a true raconteur of the everyday Clarke’s recent works chronicle life. With unique acuity, his works tell of an effervescent ecology bursting at the seams with eccentric and dynamic characters.
