Lumina Collective: A Particular Being

August 20 - October 10

A Particular Being is Lumina Collective’s major exhibition showcasing new work exploring notions of grievability, memory and recognition in an unstable world. Through their eight distinct lenses, Lumina reimagines diverse and discrete lives poised at times of personal or global unease- with each response a reckoning and an intervention into acts of forgetting.

Committed to revealing diverse stories and narratives within the Australian landscape and further afield, Lumina’s core aim is to build capacity through collaboration and community. Each artist brings to the collective a unique voice and vision. Founded in 2017, Lumina is a new Australian collective of award-winning female and non-binary photographic artists breaking ground in visual storytelling and dissemination.
