Weasel Gallery (soon to be Laree Payne Gallery) presents uku (clay) works by Aotearoa artist Maia McDonald alongside paintings by Australian artist Lottie Consalvo. Two Waters: Wairua celebrates the fact that both artists reach to the earth for their palette, and leave unfussy evidence of the hand in their texturally rich work. Creating work which contains a knowing and embodied presence, the work of both artists speak to the elemental and the lived experience.
