Marian Drew, Blue Afternoon, 2020. Inkjet print, Edition 5, 70 x 102cm. Courtesy: the artist and Andrew Baker Art Dealer, Brisbane.
In her new series Strata, Marian Drew models forms of landscape in the humanized space of the still life. Loosening the photographic image from its quadrilateral boundaries, large prints are ripped and rephotographed as sculptural collages. Building on previous iterations of her practice, these conflated geometries dissolve traditional genres.
The gallery is open and adhering to social distancing measures.
The exhibition can also be viewed online. Take the virtual tour.
