Mathieu Briand, When our heart sink deeply on the uncanny island, 2019, inkjet print. Courtesy: the artist and Mars Gallery, Melbourne.
Mathieu Briand develops an immersive story over three levels of MARS Gallery, using animatronic android sculptures, called A-droyx, photography, 3D image prints, sculptures and video. When our heart sink deeply on the uncanny island explores connection between our perceived reality and imagination while questioning our relationship with technology and nature, modernity and roots.
