Gallery 9 presents an expansive exhibition of new paintings and 43 intriguing and dynamic collages by artist Michael Taylor.

Taylor’s paintings draw on his infinitely textured experience of nature – its moods and elemental sensations. Their expressive sweep of energy also charts his own movement within the landscape, either on foot or by car. Time, space, water and light are exhilaratingly conflated into vivid, shifting concentrations of paint and colour.

At 86, Taylor has exhibited regularly since 1963 with 96 works held by the National Gallery of Australia alone with many more in State Gallery Collections, regional, institutional, and corporate collections, and numerous private collections.
