Milan Milojevic, Flow 7, 2019. Archival inkjet print with woodcut overlay, Edition of 10, 30cm x 44cm. Courtesy: Milan Milojevic and Colville Gallery, Hobart.
Flow features a series of archival inkjet prints embellished with etching and woodblock plates of waterfalls. These landscapes will include various hybrid flora and fauna created by Milan Milojevic continuing on with imagery sourced from the ‘Age of Discovery’. These vistas represent an imaginary world that reflects Milojevic’s cross-cultural identity. The idea of the waterfall follows on from the earlier print series The Tree, the waterfall however is less stationary, a continually evolving a symbol of renewal and rejuvenation.
Milojevic has exhibited nationally and internationally, has held regular solo exhibitions over the past three decades and contributed to group exhibitions throughout Australia, USA, UK, Europe and Asia. He has received awards from major national funding bodies including DAAD, the Australia Council and the Australian Research Council. He has undertaken several
international residencies in Scotland, England and Germany. His work is held in major public and private collections in Australia, USA, Asia and Europe.
Exhibition opens: 5.30–7:30pm Friday 13 September 2019
