Nicole Zhang: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Nicole Zhang, The Preparation, 2024 Acrylic on canvas 121cm x 202cm
2024 Art Incubator grant recipient Nicole Zhang’s exhibition, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, considers the everyday as a site of formation – the devotional soil on which we are shaped. Within her crowded, yet intimate tableaux, tragicomic figures navigate the rhythms of daily life with quietude and care. Recurring patterns and shapes envelop and mirror one another, in a contemplation on both the prosaic and deeply significant nature of the things we do each day.
