Born in New Zealand of Tongan and Scottish descent, Paul Jackson now lives in Australia where he is well known as a figurative painter and has been a regular finalist in the nation’s prestigious Archibald Prize for portraiture. Profile for the Ages is a extension of Jackson’s long-held fascination with ethnography. The exhibition includes highly detailed oil paintings and a suite of mono prints and woodblock prints.
