MARS Gallery presents Prue Wilkinson’s inaugural solo exhibition, Twenty Six by Twenty Nine, featuring 50 paintings which continues the artist’s ongoing investigation into the archive and inherited memory. Confronting the ephemerality of the archive in the digital age, Prue re-materialises fragments of photographs through the slower, more embodied act of painting.

Prue Wilkinson is an emerging visual artist who uses her practice as a space to explore the fragility of memory. She was awarded the Macquarie Group People’s Choice Award at NGV’s Top Arts in 2020, and graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts with Honours in 2024.
