Si Yi Shen uses digital collage and sculptural forms to explore identity, belonging and life between cultural worlds. Drawing on personal journeys, shifting views and notions of place, Shen deconstructs and reassembles fragments—images, text, emojis, audio, 3D scans and digital snippets—into layered works that blur the boundaries between reality and imagination.
Her artworks offer an original way of thinking about the self, our surroundings, and how we connect and adapt in a globalised world. Through this mix of materials and ideas, Shen invites viewers to reflect on the changing nature of identity and the spaces we move through—both physical and digital.
