Projects from the graduates of Southern Cross University (SCU) Art & Design 2020, along with a selected showcase of works from members from the undergraduate community.

The 2020 graduates worked through lockdown, facing limited studio and facilities access. They showed resilience through collaboration and dedication to developing their creative voices. Diverse works spanning ecological ephemeral sculpture, multi-channel installation, wild narrative painting, to the now-infamous facemask—embroidered with feminist aphorisms. Concerns distinct to the Northern Rivers are balanced with a vitality of aesthetic investigations, pertinent to contemporary national and international conversations in visual culture.
