Tim Clarkson, Origami Crane, 2019. Ceramic, 45 x 40 x 50cm. Courtesy: the artist and Fox Galleries, Melbourne.
Tim Clarkson is a ceramic-based sculptural artist intrigued with the Cubists of the early 20th century. Clarkson’s work is composed of angular lines, geometric shapes and origami-like forms.
Like the Cubists, Clarkson explores the deconstruction of forms into basic shapes and lines, breaking them into flat angular plains and recreating them as three-dimensional forms whilst exploring movement and moments in time.
Exhibition opens: 5–7pm Thursday 14 November 2019
