Parade of Days showcases Tim McMonagle’s latest body of work that explores his observations of the environment combined with his imagination, resulting in lyrical paintings infused with humour and a distinctive elegance. McMonagle paints directly on to linen with no preparatory sketching and favours a square format for his compositions.
Tim McMonagle’s work is found in major public, corporate and private collections throughout Australia. McMonagle was a finalist in the 2012 Archibald Prize for his portrait of his friend, Michael Buxton and has been a finalist in the Wynne Prize in 2015, 2016 and 2018.
