Tony Oursler, Spectar, 2006. Fibreglass form, Blu Ray disk and projector, dimensions variable. Courtesy: the artist and Fox Jensen Gallery, Sydney.
Tony Oursler is regarded alongside Bill Viola, Bruce Nauman as one of the most influential pioneers of video art.
Recognised for freeing the video from its two-dimensional frame by projecting images onto three dimensional forms, Oursler has developed a medium he amusingly describes as digital clay.
Exhibition opens 2–5pm Saturday 20 July 2019
