Located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, Museum of Brisbane is at the centre of a conversation about the evolving life of Brisbane, its history and culture. It is a sleek, contemporary space boldly placed on the top floor of the city’s premier heritage building, City Hall.

Museum of Brisbane offers unique and authentic perspectives on the changing contemporary city it is located within. Exhibitions bring community, writers, artists, filmmakers and their Brisbane stories close, and reach into the gallery’s history for its compelling narratives. It’s Artist in Residence programs explore how and why artists create, and MoB Kids invites children and youth along for their own creative adventures.

Museum of Brisbane celebrates the creators and history makers of the greater River City with walking tours that bring the past to life. The gallery reflects Brisbane’s people and passions, celebrates its ever-changing culture, and deepens the community’s understanding of place.

Its permanent collection includes more than 5,000 contemporary and traditional artworks, as well as the Easton Pearson Archive, which includes more than 3,300 signature garments from Brisbane’s most successful fashion house.
