Jennings Kerr Gallery now representing Kirrily Humphries
Jennings Kerr Gallery announces the representation of emerging artist Kirrily Humphries in New South Wales. The gallery will present Humphries’ first solo exhibition in 2026.

“I become quietly absorbed in the solitary exploration of architectural space,” Humphries explains. “Based on my expeditions within contemporary ruins, I paint moments of sublime revelation, found in their distinct phenomenological and physiological experience.”
Working at a deliberately small scale, Humphries encourages an immersive experience for viewers, compelling quiet contemplation. Her pencil compositions are built up over many layers, with the negative space of the paper becoming an integral part of the work’s power.
Humphries graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) from the Australian National University in 2016, having studied on exchange at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris in 2014. She was a finalist in both the 2019 and 2023 Hazelhurst Art on Paper Awards.
