MARS to Miami

The Naarm/Melbourne gallery has signed an agreement to launch MARS Miami — a pop-up model bringing Australian artists to audiences across North America, led by Wided Khadraoui, a former MARS team member who went on to work around the world before settling in Miami.

“There is so much incredible practice happening in Australia that deserves to be part of a broader international conversation,” Andy Dinan, MARS Director says. In 24 years MARS has never been simply a place that sells art. As longtime members of the Australian Commercial Galleries Alliance and the global New Art Dealers Alliance, the gallery has built its reputation on making room for artists to meet collectors, curators, museums and collaborators — and for conversations that might not otherwise have happened.

Dinan and Khadraoui describe MARS Miami as collaborative and relationship-driven: long-term opportunities for the artists, and some of the most interesting voices coming out of Australia introduced to new audiences abroad.
