Cementa24 Arts Festival program announced

The sixth biennial Cementa festival returns to Kandos, promising four days of diverse and captivating artistic experiences under new curatorial leadership.

From September 19-22, the town of Kandos will once again become a vibrant hub of artistic expression as Cementa24 takes center stage. This sixth iteration of the biennial festival promises to infuse the community with its signature blend of wonder and weirdness that has become synonymous with the Cementa experience.

Under the fresh guidance of Lead Curator Daniel Mudie Cunningham and First Nations Curator Jo Albany, Cementa24 is set to showcase an impressive array of talent and creativity. More than 50 artists will present over 40 artworks across 20 venues throughout Kandos, transforming the town into a sprawling, immersive gallery.

Visitors can expect a diverse range of artistic offerings that span from the delightfully fun to the intriguingly strange, from the aesthetically beautiful to the intellectually perplexing. This eclectic mix of art forms and expressions is designed to engage, challenge, and inspire attendees from all walks of life.

The festival’s expansion to 20 venues across Kandos underscores its deep integration with the local community, turning the entire town into a canvas for artistic exploration. This approach not only provides artists with unique spaces to display their work but also encourages visitors to explore Kandos in new and exciting ways.

Cementa24 stands as a testament to the power of art to transform spaces, spark conversations, and bring communities together. As the festival prepares to unfold, it invites art enthusiasts, curious locals, and visitors alike to immerse themselves in four days of unparalleled artistic adventure.
