THIS IS NO FANTASY is excited to present new bodies of work by Ali Tahayori and Alexandra Standen at this year’s Melbourne Art Fair.

Both artists draw on ancient Islamic traditions and disciplines, reframing them in the modern world. Surface and refraction are defining features of both artists’ practices. Their seductive veneers are disrupted by traces of the human hand, creating works that are alluring and enigmatic.
